Here goes.............
I find myself in the strange position of starting to write my 1st blog before I've read anyone elses. Well at least I can claim tobe uncorrupted by other bloggers postings.
In about a 8 weeks times I shall be moving to Switzerland- well at least part time- to fulfill a long standing dream. I shall be able to wake up and look at the mountains, breathe in unpolluted air and after checking my "work" emails, ski for the rest of the day.
My wife and 4 kids will visit me when they can, when they too busy or are not at school/uni , but for the 1st time in my life ( 47 years and counting) I shall be (selfishly?) getting my own needs met.
If I've downloaded the correct pic, you can see my new chalet,which my builder Pierre promises will be ready for me my the 1st week of December- we shall see!
I'm off to Switzerland next Monday pm (24th) with my wife for a couple of days to choose the remaining items of furniture/ fittings we need and didn't round to buying on our last trip in September.
Before that though, i have a less pleasant appointment at my local hospital on Friday .They will knock me out and put a probe down my throat and another one up where the sun doesn't shine and try and find out why I have been spending the last 3 mionths constantly visiting the loo for extended sittings.
